Old City Walking Tour

The city of Istanbul, with its latest name, has a short "2700 years" but very rich history. Today with its 16 million population, it is one of the biggest cities of the world but in the history, it became the three empires capital city; Roman Empire, Byzantion Empire and Ottoman Empire. And we will just be in the ruling center of those three empires.

Your Istanbul tour itinerary

🕒8 hours

- We start with the 1800 years old Roman Hippodrome. In the hippodrome, we will see the oldest monument of the city the Egyptian obelisk which is even older than the city itself.
- After that, we are going to visit the famous Hagia Sophia which is built as a church 916 years later, converted into a mosque and finally used as a museum after 1935. In 2020 the building is converted into a mosque again.
- After our visit to Hagia Sophia, we will have a short visit to Basilica Cistern, the most famous cistern of the city which is built by the same emperor during the 6th century.
- Then we will have a break for lunch.
- In the afternoon we will be visiting the Ottoman era's Topkapi Palace.
